You decide with your partner whether you want to attend this appointment. The test can be used to calculate how high the risk of a genetic disease is for the child.
Some chromosomal changes, for example trisomy 21, i.e. Down syndrome, but also some heart diseases and malformations, accumulate between 11th and 14th week of gestation increases fluid in the neck region of the baby.
